Former Newcastle United star Davide Santon signed for Inter Milan at the start of last season, but has failed to integrate himself into Roberto Mancini’s plans.
The 25-year-old is expected to move again this summer, with several clubs in England and Italy interested in him.
According to Italian website Gazza Mercato (part of the Gazzetta dello Sport group), Crystal Palace are interested in signing Santon, and a reunion with Alan Pardew is on the cards.
Crystal Palace, however, face competition from Serie A side Cagliari who are also hoping to add Santon to their squad for the next season.
Earlier, reports suggested Santon would also be keen on returning to the Premier League, and should be prepared to compete with Joel Ward for a place in the starting XI.
It remains to be seen if Crystal Palace are really keen on signing Santon, as the Italian media really like the idea of reunions between managers, clubs and players.
Santon made just 13 appearances this season, and has a couple of years left on his contract.
