If you read all the stories there are about Matteo Darmian there are in Europe right now, you’d consider it likely the player could leave Manchester United this month.
It was first the Italian press who claimed that now that Roma are selling Emerson Palmieri to Chelsea, the club will have Darmian as the perfect replacement for the Brazilian.
But it seems that the Serie A side will have some heavy competition for the fullback, because the Spanish press is sure that he’s also a target for Valencia.
Deporte Valenciano has a story saying the club will sign a fullback this week, and Matteo Darmian is the number one name on the list.
The story is actually quite vague in terms of negotiations or figures that would be involved, as all the website wants to do is to make it clear that Valencia will make big efforts to bring a fullback before the weekend.
That should make Roma pretty attentive to the situation, and if both clubs are really up for a fight, that would surely benefit Manchester United in terms of how much they can get from the transfer.
