The Brazilian Chelsea players can’t hide how happy they are with Maurizio Sarri being in charge of the club.

It was well known that Antonio Conte had problems with most of the Brazilians at the club, and it looks like the atmosphere has completely changed with the new manager.

Earlier this week, we covered an interview from ESPN Brasil with Willian in which the player made many compliments to Sarri, explaining how fun the manager is and revealing the confidence that he’s given him.

Now defender David Luiz has spoken to UOL, and couldn’t hide his excitement with the work that Sarri has been doing in his first few months in charge of the London side.

“Sarri is a great manager who is trying every day to implement his philosophy of work. A guy who likes to play with the ball on the ground, a lot of possession and movement to make a joyful and beautiful football,” David Luiz told UOL.

“We are seeking to enjoy with much awareness at the same time that we are pursuing our goals. He wants us to be happy because that is the most important thing in life, regardless of the work you do.”

David Luiz has also spoken about the injuries that took him out of the team last season, and shows he’s glad to have made 12 appearances under Sarri.

“I love playing football, it’s so good to be on the pitch doing my job, even more being the positive way we’re doing. It was difficult not to play last year with the injuries, but what matters is that I’m back and happy to do what I love.”
