Torino star Andrea Belotti has now emerged as a transfer target for Everton, if reports coming out of Italy are to be believed.
The striker continues to shine for the club as he netted his 12th league goal of the campaign in his side’s 1-0 victory over Udinese recently, with him also having six assists to his name in 27 matches.
With a contract expiring in 2022, there’s a ‘big, big worrying, question mark’ over the 27-year-old’s future at the club.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who add the chances of the Italy international signing an extension with the Serie A side looks slim.
To this date, there is ‘no sign of optimism’ of the frontman having intention to commit his long-term future to his current employer.
Tuttosport explain several clubs in Italy and across Europe already have their sights on Belotti, and from England, the Toffees and Chelsea are mentioned.
That’s about the only information mentioned about Everton’s efforts to sign the player, but it’s certainly enough to get a few ears pricking up.
Carlo Ancelotti hasn’t exactly shied away from targeting players in Serie A since taking over at Goodison Park, and Everton or any other suitor will receive encouragement in the chase for Belotti because Torino will be forced to sell him in the summer if he doesn’t renew in order to avoid losing him for nothing in 2022.
