Everton continue to be linked with players from Serie A.

The situation has been ongoing since Carlo Ancelotti took over at Goodison Park and it’s no exaggeration to say more than twenty players in Italy have been linked, in one way or another.

Matias Vecino, Hirving Lozano and Allan are probably the three to have had the most stories dedicated to them.

Vecino, a midfielder for Inter Milan, was thought to be close to a move to Everton at one point in January. The transfer never happened, and since then links for him with the Toffees have gone quiet.

This weekend, Calciomercato link another midfielder, Lorenzo Pellegrini.

It’s explained Manchester United and Chelsea were keen in the past, but have now stepped back, however, Everton remain keen and Carlo Ancelotti is observing the situation.

Pellegrini, 23 years of age, has a contract with AS Roma until June 2022, with a €30m release fee. Roma want to get rid of that clause and offer a pay rise.

Should Everton be serious they need to hurry and convince the player not to renew, and therefore keep that clause.
