Rumours of Everton being interested in Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez have found welcoming arms in the media closest to Real Madrid.
The pair are considered available for transfer, and whilst James has repeatedly been linked with a move to Goodison Park, Bale’s addition is relatively new.
Whilst there doesn’t appear to be a lot in it right now, Marca have grasped it, and it’s interesting to note there’s no dismissal of Everton as a reasonable destination.
The club’s big ambitions for the future are known around Europe, and the hiring of Ancelotti was a big boost for reputation, and for respect when it comes to being linked with stars.
Marca point out that both Bale and James worked well with the manager at Real Madrid, and Ancelotti requested the Colombian for Bayern Munich.
It’s explained the Italian ‘believes he’s capable’ of convincing them to join, although it’s pointed out how difficult it would be with Bale, given he’s very fond of his life in the Spanish capital.
Farhad Moshiri, as far as Marca have it, ‘seems willing’ to offer ‘long contracts’ to both players to make the moves possible.
There’s nothing concrete in this, and the takeaway is mainly about how Everton are now perceived by the major European sport media.
