Despite being constantly linked to several clubs, Portuguese manager Marco Silva is still to accept a job since his departure from Everton back in December 2019.

The latest news says the coach could now be on his way to Brazil, where Atletico Mineiro are interested in his arrival following the exit of Jorge Sampaoli, describing him as being ‘among the most highly rated names’.

According to A Bola, there’s first been an exploratory contact, and following a positive answer from Silva, he’s now expecting a more detailed conversation about the club’s project.

The manager now seems more positive about a move to Brazil than a few weeks ago, when São Paulo made an approach and heard he’d like to stay in Europe.

Last week, at a stage when Silva was linked to Bournemouth, reports also claimed he was in talks to take charge of Al Hilal as well. So his future seems pretty much open.

Marco Silva joined Everton in May 2018 and managed the Toffees in 60 matches. He left the club with a record of 24 wins, 11 draws and 25 defeats.
