Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves is on the list of options for Juventus this month as they target a midfielder to free up Arthur for an exit.
That’s according to Corriere Torino, who say super-agent Jorge Mendes is in contact with the Italian club about a potential deal.
They’re keen to let Arthur move this month, and Arsenal are chasing his signature, but it’s been made clear that the Brazilian can only leave after Juventus find a suitable replacement for him.
Corriere explain that there are currently two names they are exploring, Bruno Guimaraes and Leandro Paredes, but they are not the only options for them.
That’s because the Brazilian is currently valued at €45m, so is too much, while Paris Saint Germain are yet to open to the possibility of a deal for Paredes.
Thus the ‘line’ they have to Jorge Mendes phone is ‘always alive’, and he has presented two options to them, Lille’s Renato Sanchez and Wolves’ Ruben Neves.
‘Reflections and evaluations’ are currently underway at Juventus for both players, meaning there is no serious issue for Wolves at the minute.
That could change, though, with one of their star men having been offered to Juventus by Mendes this month.
Should the Italian giants move, they will likely find Wolves as resistant to a deal as Lyon are, with Bruno Lage and co unlikely to be interested in losing Neves unless it is for a major price.
With Mendes orchestrating things, though, there is always the danger he will ensure what works best for him.
