West Bromwich Albion defender Allon Nyom is close to securing a loan move to Getafe, according to Marca.
The Cameroon defender spent last season on loan at Leganes, making 25 appearances in total, scoring one goal and registering one assist.
He is not part of Slaven Bilic’s plans at the Hawthorns for next season, with the Croatian reshaping the squad as they attempt to make it back into the Premier League.
A loan move is on the cards then and Getafe have won the race, with Marca reporting they have agreed a one-year loan deal with an option to make it permanently at the end.
The newspaper doesn’t mention if that’s compulsory or not, although it’s a little strange it’s included at all given Nyom only has a year left on his deal with West Brom and would be available on a free next summer.
The player, for his part, is keen on the move as he wanted to stay in the Madrid region after last season and Getafe offered the best option, with it suggested that Nyom had plenty of offers to choose from.
