Allan is a favourite this week in Germany.

Stories about the Liverpool youngster, currently on loan at Hertha Berlin, don’t come around very often, but now there’s two in two days.

On Thursday we covered German magazine SportBild explaining how Allan has been settling in, how Hertha have been impressed, and also the youngster’s desire to actually play for Liverpool one day.

German newspaper Bild have continued the story on Friday and want to focus on the footballer’s latest tattoos. Allan has had what Bild call a ‘heavenly’ tattoo on his back, along with neck tattoos.

It’s clearly caught the imagination of the German newspaper.

Bild asked the Liverpool owned player about the recent inking, and he said: “I am a Catholic, I like to go to church. In Brazil I also had the Holy Virgin tattooed on my arm.”

Now Bild have decided he’s Hertha’s angel, and they say that, according to their information, Allan and his girlfriend are happy in Berlin and would be content to extend their stay in the city.

“Allan: In Brazil I also had the Holy Virgin tattooed on my arm.”

Given they’ve spoken to Allan, it’s not too hard to work out the source of the newspaper’s information.

The 19 yAllanear old is still keen to succeed at Liverpool, and playing at Anfield one day, and is a big fan of Jurgen Klopp, but a work permit being granted any time soon is unlikely.

Therefore it’s probably a good thing Allan feels good in Berlin, and can continue to progress and learn the European game.

Bild say that without a work permit ‘the angel would remain in Berlin’.

Given the work permit issues, and the likelihood of that being a long term issue, Liverpool have certainly shown a lot of faith in the Brazilian. The Only way Allan gets a work permit is if he succeeds greatly in the Bundesliga, and Hertha believe that’s a possibility.
