Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting on Monday afternoon that Alfonso Pedraza is set to travel to England and join Leeds United. We’ve covered the situation all day, and Marca have joined the chorus to say that everything is agreed on the January transfer.

This morning Pedraza, who has been on loan at Lugo for the first half of the season, travelled to his parent club Villarreal to ‘close all the details’. Marca go on to say that Pedraza will ‘this afternoon travel to England’.

The figures reported by Marca are the same as elsewhere, with Leeds United agreeing to pay €10m for a permanent transfer in the summer, as long as they promotion. Until then, Pedraza will be on loan at the Yorkshire club. Lugo will receive €300k for having their loan cut short.

This is now very much being treated like a done deal, and it would be no surprise to hear officially from at least one of the clubs involved before the end of the day, depending on what time Pedraza gets to England.
