With Tallares going strong for the signing of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Josh Windass, it seems things are quickly moving forward for this deal to be done.
A new update from journalist Cesar Luis Merlo now claims that an agreement between club and player is ‘on track’ following a meeting between president Andres Fassi and agent Kristian Bereit.
With the parties reaching a deal, Tallares are now looking for a way to take Windass out of Sheffield Wednesday, since there’s one year left in his contract with the Owls.
The chase for the signing had already been confirmed by Fassi on Monday, when the president claimed that the player ‘wants to come’ to Argentina this summer.
Now with Tallares looking to find a deal with Sheffield Wednesday, it remains to be seen if the Owls will require a fee or let the player go before the end of his contract.
This season, Windass had four goals and two assists in only 12 appearances for the League One side.
