The talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Villarreal for the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso seem to continue advancing.
According to the latest reports from Argentina, an agreement between clubs is now ‘getting closer’ to being done, despite some ‘details still to be defined’.
Journalist César Luis Merlo comes up to say the talks are ‘aimed’ so that the midfielder leaves Tottenham on a new loan.
The reporter writes that Villarreal are set to have a buying clause in the deal, even though it isn’t yet decided whether that will be obligatory or optional.
Earlier this week, the very same Cesar Luis Merlo had already claimed the Tottenham and Villarreal were ‘in the final stage of negotiation’.
Meanwhile, journalist German Garcia Grova reported the La Liga’s side offer, claiming they already had a personal agreement with Lo Celso himself.
Now as the clubs get closer to a deal, we wonder how much will the Spanish club have to pay to sign him permanently from Spurs.
The midfielder had already spent the second half of last season on loan at the Yellow Submarine, and seems happy to be returning.
