Turkish website Sporx report Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has reached an agreement to appoint Liverpool’s Zeljko Buvac as the club’s new manager for next season.

According to Sporx Comolli has agreed terms with Buvac and he’ll now report back to the Turkish side’s president Ali Y. Koc.

Koc reportedly wants to work with Jurgen Klopp’s assistant next season, and Fenerbahce are hoping to confirm the deal tomorrow.

Recently appointed Fenerbahce president Ali Y. Koc has previously stated he wants to bring in a foreign manager, and Buvac has been presented as an option repeatedly in the Turkish media.

The 56 year old took a break from Liverpool before the end of the season, with the Premier League club batting away suggestions he’d left. Buvac was also linked with replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal before the appointment of Unai Emery.

The Bosnian has been working with Klopp since 2001, but they will be going their separate ways if these claims are accurate.
