Medipol Basaksehir have confirmed they’ve come to an agreement to sign Birmingham City winger Kerim Frei.
The Istanbul based club have recently been in discussions with Birmingham City with regards to bringing Frei back to Turkey, and Mynet reported earlier today via BeinSportsTR an agreement had been made. The Birmingham City player will fly to Istanbul to complete his transfer.
Frei only joined Birmingham six months ago, but he’s failed to deliver for the Championship side. After the permanent appointment of Harry Redknapp it always seemed likely the Turkish international had no future with Birmingham City.
Frei signed from Besiktas for €2.5m, but it’s yet to be confirmed in the Turkish press what Basaksehir will be paying for the attacker.
