Two days ago, Tutto Juve stated RC Lens and West Ham United have both made offers for Juventus’ Denis Zakaria. It was also said their proposals were €5m short of the €20m fee requested by the Turin club.
The Hammers have stepped up their efforts to sign the 26-year-old in the summer window.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say West Ham are ‘pushing’ to seal the deal for the midfielder, who no longer has a future at the Serie A side.
It’s claimed the Old Lady are ‘in a hurry’ to sell Zakaria and are aiming to earn around €18-20m, including bonuses, from his transfer.
The report adds the intermediaries are at work and there is an ‘agreement that is approaching’ between West Ham and Juve for the Switzerland international’s transfer. There’s ‘less and less distance’ between the two clubs.
Last season, Zakaria was on loan at Chelsea, who decided against exercising their option to buy him.
West Ham star Declan Rice seems to be closing in on a big money move to Arsenal. The Europa Conference League winners can invest part of the fee from Rice’s sale to sign Zakaria in this window.
