Following claims that Besiktas had signed some sort of co-agreement with the likes of Chelsea for some January transfers, we have an update.

This comes via journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu on X, who brings the latest regarding the status of two rather exiled Blues at Stamford Bridge.

He explains that representatives of both Chelsea’s Malang Sarr and Armando Broja are currently ‘in talks’ with a ‘big club’ from Turkey.

The reporter makes a point of not naming said team, although logic would state Besiktas are the likeliest one.

To see Malang Sarr being linked with a January exit from Chelsea is certainly no surprise, as the centre-back has yet to make an appearance for the club under Mauricio Pochettino, who had no idea who he was after taking the job.

As for Broja, the Albania international had played a bit more of late after returning from a serious injury, even starting the 2-0 loss to Everton at the weekend.

Now, whether that trend was going to continue, we’ll have to wait and see, but it’s clear that those in charge of his future are looking at options for the upcoming transfer window.
