Paris Saint Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa has been ‘proposed’ to Watford as his agents look to secure him a new club.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the player is keen to leave the French giants this month if he can.

The 29-year-old recently returned from an injury to his left calf, but he remains on the outside of PSG’s squad.

So far, he only has one appearance under his belt since the start of the season, and that was a short nine-minute appearance in the final of the Champions Trophy.

With Juan Bernat, Nuno Mendes and Abdou Diallo ahead of him in the pecking order, the chances of that changing are slim at best, and he feels his future is ‘completely blocked.’

PSG are happy to let him go as they plan to release some liquidity in their budget, and so Kurzawa’s agents ‘continue to work’ to find him a new club.

According to FM’s info that has seen the player ‘proposed’ to Watford, who are likely to be active this month as they attempt to provide Claudio Ranieri with reinforcements.

Whether Watford are interested isn’t mentioned, but they do have three left-backs in their squad already in Hassane Kamara, Adam Masina and Danny Rose.

There is no pressing need for them to add in that position, then, but Kurzawa has been offered nonetheless.
