For a while now, there has been talk that Manchester United are interested in signing Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes.

The midfielder is widely seen as one of the most exciting prospects in football these days, and with just one year left on his deal with the Ligue 1 side, there is a fear he could leave on a free.

That’s something Rennes obviously want to try and avoid, but they are still asking for a lot of money for him, which few are ready to pay.

Manchester United remain interested, however, but it appears a lot of this is agent driven, if Mohamed Bouhafsi is to be believed.

As relayed by Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Camavinga’s desire for his career would be to join Paris Saint-Germain, but that’s not what those representing him want.

Instead, they would like to ‘bring him to Manchester United’, as he quotes a former tweet of his from a few days ago explaining they were ‘pushing’ for a move to England

Why isn’t said, but perhaps they see a better career path for the youngster there, rather than staying in France where, realistically, there is less competition on a weekly basis.

We’ll have to see what comes of this going forward, but his agents wouldn’t be pushing him to Manchester United if the Red Devils weren’t interested in the first place.
