La Liga side Real Sociedad are reportedly waiting for a bid from Everton for defender Diego Llorente.
As reported by Noticias De Gipuzkoa today, it was the 25-year-old’s agents who told the Spanish side that an offer is about to arrive.
Everton are well known at Real Sociedad, since they’re previously pursued Willian José, and also used to watch Sandro Ramirez during his loan at the club.
Now Noticias De Gipuzkoa claims the Toffees are in a hurry to get a new defender, since only Michael Keane seems ‘safe’ in the first team squad. That’s their opinion, not ours.
Llorente is currently protected by a €50m release clause, but Real Sociedad would accept to sell him for about €30m. The outlet makes it clear that the amount shouldn’t be a problem for any Premier League side.
It’s not said when an Everton bid will be made, but it’s claimed that Sociedad see the sale with ‘good eyes’, so they are likely to accept if a decent amount is put on the table.
