Jesus Navas to Sevilla stutters on, but, as has been the case for some time, nothing is really happening. There’s long been an assumption Navas would finish his Manchester City contract and then return to Sevilla to see out the rest of his career.

That assumption has likely been held by all of Navas, Sevilla and Manchester City, but a lack of action from the Spanish club has held things back. Marca report on Thursday that Navas’ representatives are getting impatient, and want to know first hand from Sevilla what their intentions are.

That message is probably meant for Sevilla, and is a warning that Navas won’t simply accept a low-ball offer.

Whilst the player will certainly have to take a drop on his Manchester City wages, he obviously wants the drop to be minimised.
