Despite patching things up with his manager Simone Inzaghi, Felipe Anderson could still end up at Chelsea next season, if Il Messaggero are to be believed.

Let us rewind to Valentine’s Day first, when the story first reemerged, with the same newspaper revealing the Brazilian’s agents were ‘at work’ with the Blues, Inter and Napoli regarding a possible summer transfer.

At the time, Anderson was ‘suspect number one’ to leave the club come the end of the season, and while that might not be the case now, a potential move is still in the works.

Il Messaggero explain that his entourage are ‘continuing to work’ with Chelsea regarding a possible transfer, one that would probably end up costing around €40m.

Lazio know there’s little chance of them seeing the €50m Manchester United reportedly once offered for the Brazilian forward’s services, but that anything around the €40m would be difficult to turn down.

With two years left on his contract and age very much on his side (he’s only 24), Anderson could allow Lazio to make a nice profit in a summer where they are already expecting to lose Stefan De Vrij on a free.

As well as working with Chelsea, his agents have also kept contact with Napoli, Inter and now AC Milan, meaning there will be competition if Roman Abramovich decides he wants to see Felipe Anderson at Stamford Bridge next season.
