On Wednesday, Brazilian website UOL had a very short update on Philippe Coutinho’s situation, saying that Liverpool and Barcelona have been talking, and the possibility of a January move was back to the table.

Now it seems they got some big info during the night, because the news from Brazil today says that Coutinho’s staff are bringing Liverpool a new bid ‘in the next few hours’.

The amount offered by Barcelona this time would be €160m, and the player’s staff would be very ‘optimistic’ about it. They hope that there’s a deal before the weekend, as both of his representatives Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci are in England to close the case.

Even though Liverpool don’t admit to the press that they’re losing the player, the agents would be confident that a deal can be found in January, according to UOL.

It’s claimed that after three bids rejected by Liverpool in the summer window, Coutinho’s agents believe that a deal will finally be found in the first days of the year.
