Things appear to have gone from bad to worse for Italian striker Simone Zaza. The West Ham striker was expected to sign for Valencia on loan, but Cesare Prandelli decided to leave the club.
Juventus reportedly have no interest in taking back Zaza, as they have enough strikers at the club already. The 25-year-old isn’t likely to make more appearances for West Ham, and a return to Italy is the best plan.
His father Antonio Zaza has been speaking to Italian website Calciomercato, and has revealed there haven’t been any contacts with interested clubs yet.
He said: “Not at the moment, I do not know if they have had with Juventus.”
Asked about the possible transfer to Valencia, Antonio says they’re still in the process of ‘evaluation’, as the player was a direct request by Prandelli.
He added: “We were still in the process of evaluation, it was for Valencia to insist with Juventus. I cannot deny that sorry, because Simone was a direct request for Prandelli, a wonderful person and a good coach.”
Antonio also added that they are looking for a club where the player could feature more regularly, and described Fiorentina as a ‘great team’.
