Raphinha is a priority target for Barcelona this summer and they are joined by Arsenal in the chase for the Leeds United star.
The La Liga side, so far, have not managed to seal a deal due to their economic conditions and lack of clarity over Ousmane Dembélé’s future. The Frenchman’s contract expires on June 30th and he is likely to leave the Camp Nou as a free agent.
Sport have now come up with a report that details a message from the Catalan club to the Whites winger, and the efforts made by Arsenal to sign him.
The Brazil international’s agent, Deco, will travel to Barcelona next week to check whether it’s feasible for his client to arrive at the Camp Nou. He wants to know if the player is ‘free to go to Arsenal’.
That’s because Mikel Arteta’s side have made an official offer of €60m, according to Sport, and there is ‘practically an agreement’ between Arsenal and Leeds United.
Xavi Hernández’s side, who have reached an agreement with the 25-year-old, must act quick and make sure their finances are ready, when Deco arrives in Barcelona next week. If not, then Raphinha could end up at the north London club.
Although Arsenal have an agreement with Jesse Marsch’s side, Sport add that ‘everything could be adjusted’ if the South American only wants to join Barcelona this summer.
