Spanish striker Fernando Llorente made the switch to Swansea City from Sevilla this summer in a €6m deal, but has failed to make the desired impact at the Welsh club.
Signed by Francesco Guidolin, and now playing under Bob Bradley, Llorente has recently been struggling with fitness.
Llorente’s brother and agent, Jesus, has been speaking to Italian website Tutto Mercato Web, and was asked about his situation at Swansea.
He said: “Things aren’t going well. The change of coach was hard, because Fernando was wanted by Guidolin. But my brother wants to go back to his levels and raise Swansea, it’s the ‘only goal’.”
Asked about a possible return to Italy with Napoli reportedly looking for a striker, Jesus insists that’s not something they’re thinking about right now but he wouldn’t rule it out: “We know Italy, the league is a great league. But Fernando has played for Juventus. Then you know, in football anything can happen and never say never. But Juve is a special feeling.”
Swansea are currently lying at the bottom of the Premier League, and Llorente would be hoping to avoid the transfer talk, and help his team in any possible way.
