Now that Victor Lindelöf’s transfer to Manchester United is all but out of the way, Ed Woodward can focus on other things, like the transfers of Ivan Perisic and Alvaro Morata.

The former of the two seems to be slowly but surely happening, and the move for the Spaniard doesn’t appear to be far behind, if the latest from Spain is to be believed.

Despite saying he would be ‘crazy’ to leave Real Madrid, it appears that a move to Old Trafford is becoming a reality for Alvaro Morata, as his agent was spotted arriving at the Santiago Bernabeú in order to negotiate his client’s exit.

Marca explain the striker has an ‘important’ offer from the Red Devils, which the agent confirmed a few days ago, and his agents have made it clear they will push for his exit from Real Madrid.

The Spanish newspaper claim the Champions League winners want around €90m for their striker, and say the deal could be done in the ‘coming hours’, a favourite term, when relaying claims from England that a deal could be reached for €75-80m.

Whether those claims from the press over here are true remain to be seen, but the fact Morata’s agent has arrived at Madrid’s offices suggests there is movement and it could be done fairly quickly.

His lack of minutes last season has forced him to seek an exit, even if he would much prefer to stay at Madrid if possible, according to AS. The second Spanish newspaper reiterate the claim that Real Madrid are looking for €90m.

Morata wants his future sorted by Friday, when he gets married in Venice, and it appears like that could be the case.
