The agent of Newcastle United midfielder Siem de Jong has told the Dutch media they haven’t been in talks with PSV. De Jong has been linked with a move to the Dutch champions this summer, and a possible reunion with his brother Luuk.

Speaking to Ad.nl, Louis Laros was asked about the possibility his client could be heading back to the Netherlands after two seasons in England. Laros said there hasn’t been any contact with PSV, but hasn’t ruled De Jong returning to his home country.

The player’s agent said the future of De Jong now depends on the decisions of Newcastle United, and whether they will allow him to be loaned out to another club.

“There are no talks between PSV and us. We rule nothing out, even the Netherlands. It obviously depends on what the plans of Newcastle United and whether they are open to a rental period, “said the player’s agent.

Despite speculation yesterday that De Jong was in talks with PSV it seems the Newcastle United midfielder is just an idea at the moment for the Eredivisie side.

With Chelsea star Marco van Ginkel turning down the chance to return to PSV for next season they have been linked with other midfielders in the past week, including Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira, and Manchester City new boy Oleksandr Zinchenko.
