As Manchester United remain one of the contenders to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, the Red Devils may be getting involved in a delicate situation around the player.
Newspaper Corriere Dello Sport today features a story claiming the 23-year-old would accept staying at his club for another season, especially if his brother is brought in to play there.
Agent Kia Joorabchian, however, is still said to be negotiating his transfer to European giants. Manchester United, AC Milan and Juventus are those in talks with him.
Now it’s only the Red Devils who are willing to actually pay for the move, as it’s claimed they’d even agree to the ridiculous €15m commission.
The problem is that by agreeing a move to Manchester United, Joorabchian would be doing that ‘out of spite’, as Old Trafford may not be the best solution for Zirkzee right now.
That’s because the player already told the agent he’d like to have another season in Italy. Then there’s the fact he’d face very tough competition at United.
Whether Manchester United would so readily pay that €15m is surely questionable, but Joorabchian would obviously want Bologna and AC Milan to believe they would.
