AC Milan do not want to sell Rafa Leao this summer but will do so if they receive a tempting enough offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers or other suitors.

That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say Jorge Mendes is working to convince clubs to offer €25m plus for his client.

The newspaper explains that following big-money moves for both Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori, Milan are keen to balance the books as best they can.

They will do that via sales, and Leao is one of those on the outside of the squad who could be offered up, but only if the money is right.

He is the ‘best representative’ of the second group but has always been on the verge of making the leap forward required rather than doing so.

At 22, he has plenty of time to develop, and Milan are aware of that, so he is not for sale in the sense that they have put him in the window looking for suitors.

Rather, they would sell if they were to receive a ‘substantial offer’ of €25m upwards, and that is a price Mendes is working on getting.

It’s felt he ‘seems to be able to collect’ that sum from Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Wolves, who are the clubs to have ‘sent the first signs of interest’.

Wolves interest is nothing new as we’ve covered that extensively over the last few weeks, while their links to Mendes mean they will always be linked in these situations.

Now there’s a price, though, and it will be interesting to see if they’re as willing to pay the €25m plus needed as Mendes seems to think they are.
