The agent of former AC Milan defender Kevin Constant has confirmed his client is not in talks with Torino or any other Serie A side. Constant was linked with West Brom last month after the Premier League side failed to sign Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor.

Speaking to Italia Calcio24, Oscar Damiani was asked the question if he’d been in talks with Torino following claims the Serie A side wanted Constant to replace recently injured Cristian Molinaro.

Damiani revealed he’s held no meetings with the Turin club and believes they won’t bring in someone to replace Molinaro. The player’s agent also confirmed they are waiting for other clubs to come forward to sign the free agent.

“No, there’s nothing. Torino I think will not take anyone. There was no meeting or chat. No Serie A clubs, not now. We are still waiting,” said Constant’s agent.

During the last window West Brom were showing an interest in Constant, but their preferred option was Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor. However, Taylor remained with Leeds United despite constant speculation he would be exiting Elland Road.

After failing to land the Leeds United man before the deadline, West Brom remained in the hunt for Constant after he became a free agent when he left Bologna in the summer.
