The agent of Anderlecht attacking midfielder Nicolae Stanciu has told the Belgian media he expects his client is to move to the Premier League in the summer.
The Romania international has been linked with Southampton, with claims the Premier League side were lining up a bid for the player in the last window.
Voetbal Nieuws have reported on comments Anamaria Prodan made when asked about the future of Stanciu. The 23-year-old is expected to leave Anderlecht in the summer, and his agent has confirmed a move to England is his likely destination.
Prodan believes a big club from the Premier League will come in for Stanciu, but any interested club must be prepared to pay around €30m.
“Stanciu will move in the summer for a big team in the Premier League. He will cost €30m. This amount will not be a problem. He’s a player that has been rare in Romania,” said the player’s agent.
During the last window we covered reports Southampton were willing to table a bid of €6m to sign Stanciu, which is way off the valuation his agent has put on the player.
At the time it was reported Southampton were considering bringing in Stanciu after they sold Sadio Mane to Liverpool. Southampton instead brought in Sofiane Boufal from Lille, who has shown someone brilliant flashes but struggled with injury.
