The Gerard Deulofeu to Milan rumours in Italy are so big it’s now one of the most reported transfers stories of the January window. That’s quite some going in Italy, where transfer rumours are loved perhaps even more so than in England.

Such is the Deulofeu reporting, that when Gazzetta dello Sport spoke to Suso’s agent and father Jesus Fernandez, they asked him about the transfer.

Some in Italy feel the Everton player would provide competition to Suso, but Fernandez isn’t worried and would welcome the deal.

Screen Shot 2017-01-05 at 10.13.36Asked if Deulofeu arriving would be a problem for Suso, Fernandez explained: “Of course not. With Deulofeu… they are different players, starting with the fact that one is left footed and the other is right.

“In general, every purchase that improves the team is never a problem, so it’s a good thing.”

Everton’s Deulofeu will know Suso from their time together playing for Spain’s youth teams, and the two may feel they can provide a twin Spanish threat for the Italian giants.

If Ronald Koeman can’t find a place for Deulofeu then a switch to Milan could suit all involved.
