Despite starring during the international break with Wales, Gareth Bale just cannot make his way into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans at Real Madrid.

The Welshman doesn’t seem to mind all that much, but with a big game against Chelsea just around the corner, there might have been a space for the winger somewhere in the Italian’s squad for what is essentially a big game player.

Bale has shown time and time again that, despite some fitness issues, he turns up when needed, but his agent, Jonathan Barnett, told Cuatro in Spain that he doesn’t expect his client to feature against the Blues in the Champions League.

He said: “You have to ask Ancelotti why he doesn’t play. It’s not Gareth Bale’s decision. I cannot criticise Ancelotti, but it’s his decision. I don’t think Bale will play the game (against Chelsea).”

We’ll have to wait and see about all this regarding the Chelsea game, but what is clear is that the Wales international will not be at Real Madrid next season.

In fact, his agent pointed out that his client will end up being missed, stating that ‘in the next 20 years, the fans will see how good Bale was and they will regret it’.

As for what happens in the summer, he explained they ‘have not decided his future yet’.

First, however, the Chelsea game, which he’s now not expected to feature in.
