Yeimar Mosquera’s agent Sócrates Valencia claims the player is set to return to Aston Villa.

The representative has been speaking to Blue Radio’s Blog Deportivo about the 19-year-old. Last summer, he joined the Villans from Colombia side Orsomarso and was loaned out to Real Unión for a season.

Mosquera has made seven appearances for the lower division Spanish club owned by Unai Emery and his family.

The centre-back is with Colombia U20s at the 2025 South American U20 Championship in Venezuela. The latest claims in the British press have stated Aston Villa are set to recall him from his loan spell at Real Unión in this window.

Blue Radio state Aston Villa have ‘requested his return’ in the coming days because of his recent impressive displays for Colombia U20. He is set to be included in Emery’s plans for the second half of this season.

The young defender’s agent has revealed he will hold talks with the Premier League side to resolve his client’s immediate future. The South American’s deal at Villa Park lasts until 2028.

“That is what is about to happen. We are focused on him continuing his good work, which he is doing at the Sudamericano. What is expected is that he can continue to grow, and that Aston Villa can define Yeimar’s future in the coming days,” he said.

“I have the good fortune to know him when he was 12 years old, he arrived at our school in the city of Pereira. Full of talent and capabilities and his mentality, since he arrived, we knew he was a boy who competed to win.”

If Aston Villa recall Mosquera, he will return to Villa Park after the tournament in Venezuela.
