Albacete Balompié’s Christian Kofane has ended up on Chelsea and Real Madrid’s transfer agenda.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and their title says Chelsea and Real Madrid are ‘swooping in’ for the 18-year-old.

The striker joined the Segunda División side in January and managed four goals and an assist from 12 games.

The Cameroon U20 international’s profile and qualities has seen him being compared to his compatriot and former Barcelona and Chelsea striker, Samuel Eto’o.

His contract with Albacete Balompié expires in 2026, but the report indicates he’s unlikely to fulfil his contract.

Africa Foot also had a chat with Kofane’s agent Eric Depolo. He is said to have confirmed interest from Chelsea, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, SC Braga, Red Bull Salzburg, AS Monaco and Sporting.

The representative was honest in admitting it won’t be easy for his client after finding out about Real Madrid’s interest. Despite this, he insists the frontman won’t rush to make a decision on his next move.

“I receive all his requests, and I analyse them as I go. I’m working on the boy’s humility and level-headedness, as he has been doing so far, because it’s not easy to remain indifferent when the biggest club in the world [Real Madrid] is interested in you,” he said.

“After that, we’ll take it step by step, because with young players, you can’t rush them; he’s only 18.”

The agent seems confident the youngster desired by Chelsea, Real Madrid and other clubs can have a bright future.

“Christian is a player who adapted very quickly, and this is due to a good foundation, as he comes from one of the best academies in Cameroon, AS Nylon, which focuses a lot on the technical and tactical fundamentals of football,” Depolo explained.

“He’s a player who has all the characteristics of a modern striker, a top-level striker. Today, he’s a sensation in Segunda División. One of the youngest, and if he continues to work, he’ll definitely be a great striker.”
