Gareth Bale is expected to complete his return to Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.
The forward, who left Spurs for Real Madrid in 2013, is set to join the north London club on a loan deal, and his exit will see the La Liga winners get rid of a player they no longer wanted.
Sky Sports in England reported José Mourinho’s side will pay £20m in ‘wages and loan fee’. However, this report has been dismissed by the Wales international’s representative.
“It’s a free transfer for Tottenham, who will pay part of Bale’s salary. The rest is paid by Madrid,” the 31-year-old’s agent told Cadena Ser’s program El Larguero.

Another report from Cadena Ser explains Spurs will ‘approximately’ pay 50 percent of the attacker’s salary, which would be around €7.5m net.
Bale wants to seal his return to his former club ‘as soon as possible’. He is set to travel to London later today to complete his season-long loan move to Tottenham.
Cadena Ser’s report has been relayed in today’s AS, who further add Mourinho is ‘satisfied’ with the attacker’s signing, after contacting his old contacts at Real Madrid to know about Bale’s physical conditions.
It’s also claimed Tottenham are signing Bale to fulfil their manager’s wish, who is not happy with the start to the new season.
Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat to Everton in the first league tie and had to come from behind to beat Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League on Thursday.
