Andrea Cambiaso’s agent Giovanni Bia has told Tutto Juve that Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid were among the clubs to have looked at his client.

Juventus took the defender from Genoa in July 2022 and immediately sent him out on a season-long loan deal to Bologna. He returned to the Turin club last season, where he played 39 games while operating as both right and left wing-backs.

His displays seem to have pleased several clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Back in May, the Old Lady rewarded the fullback with a new contract until 2029, and this has largely ruled out the possibility of him leaving the club this summer.

The Italy international’s agent also manages youngster Federico Macca, who sealed a move to the Serie A side earlier this week.

After discussing Macca, Tutto Juve quizzed the representative about Cambiaso. Bia is of the belief his client can further improve his game at the Turin club under Thiago Motta’s orders.

When asked to give an insight into Cambiaso’s renewal negotiations, the agent talked about Arsenal, Manchester United and the Champions League winners’ interest.

“The negotiation was born and concluded within a couple of days, because when you work with intelligent people you always solve problems as quickly as possible,” he said.

“Both parties wanted to stay, there was this common desire, so the economic aspect really counted little for Andrea. We didn’t argue too much, we were happy with the offer we were made and we accepted it.

“Many clubs were looking for him like Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid who were ready to do something, but he gave his priority to the Bianconeri.”
