Alexander Golovin’s agent Oleg Artemov has spoken to Russian website Championat with regards to his client’s links with Chelsea after claims he’s signed a contract with the London club.

The Russian has impressed in the World Cup this summer, which has brought him to the attention of Chelsea and other clubs.

Recently, former CSKA Moscow manager Valeri Gazzaev claimed Golovin has signed a contract with Chelsea, but this agent has played this down.

Artemov dismisses these rumours and said: “At the moment, he is a CSKA player. We haven’t signed a contract with any other club. The talks are ongoing. Golovin is currently at the World Cup and he’s only focused on World Cup matches. So we don’t need to talk about this kind of things.”

The Russian midfielder is now out of the competition, after his side lost to Croatia, but it may still be a few days before he’s ready to talk about a transfer.

Golovin has also been linked with moves to Barcelona and Juventus but recent reports suggested Chelsea have been pushing ahead of the competition.

The 22 year old still has three years left on his CSKA contract.
