The agent of Bologna goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has told the Italian media his client won’t be leaving the club this summer. Mirante has been linked with a move to either Roma or Juventus, and subsequently Bologna are reportedly interested in Leeds United’s Marco Silvestri.
Forza Roma have reported on comments Silvano Martina made to Italian TV when he was asked bout the future of Mirante.
Martina said the 33-year-old won’t be leaving Bologna in the next window, although he left a tiny little bit of doubt, as agents often do.
“The market is long and you never know. Antonio will remain at Bologna 100%,” said the player’s agent.
Yesterday we covered reports Bologna are giving consideration to Silvestri if Mirante leaves the club in the next window. Silvestri struggled to get games for Leeds United last season, and with Rob Green committing himself to the club his prospects aren’t looking good for the next campaign.
The 26 year old will be out of contract in 12 months, and Leeds United have a decision to make over the player this summer.
