The name of Divock Origi suddenly became a trending topic in the Italian sports media in the past couple of days, as several Serie A sides are now linked to the Liverpool striker.
There’s now huge belief that the player is not signing a new contract with the Reds, and that will make him a free agent, being able to chose his destination for next season.
A new report from AS Roma Live now points out Origi is a possibility for the Giallorossi, even though there could be big competition from other Italian clubs as well.
It’s pointed out that besides being offered to José Mourinho’s side, he’s also been put on the table at the likes of Atalanta, Fiorentina, AC Milan and Napoli.
The report points out Origi makes £3.1m per season, and that’s too much for Roma. Still, the signing was ‘not discarded’ by club director Tiago Pinto, while it’s still not time for them to make their official offer.
