Super agent Jorge Mendes has helped Wolverhampton Wanderers complete deals for several of his clients and one among them is Ruben Neves, who arrived at Molineux in 2017.
The midfielder was one of the key members in helping Nuno Espírito Santo’s side achieve promotion to the Premier League last season and has continued to impress with his displays this term.
According to ilBiancoNero, the 21-year-old’s representative is now ready to offer him to Juventus, if needed in the mid-season transfer window. This echos earlier claims from Turin.
The Old Lady signed two of Mendes’ clients – João Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo – before the start of the season and since then, the relationship between him and the Turin club’s chief, Fabio Paratici is ‘warmer’.
It’s claimed the Wolves player’s representative is confident that he can move his client to help the Serie A winners, but it would be difficult for the Italian side to take him without a good plan.
The report mentions a loan deal with the redemption option is something that the English side could accept, but at this moment, having Neves at the Allianz Stadium is not convincing everyone at Juventus.
ilBiancoNero mentions if no deal takes shape in January, the possibility of the Portuguese midfielder moving to Juve could be postponed until next summer.
There has to be zero chance of Wolves loaning Neves out with a redemption option, unless there’s a Mendes role dating back to when the player signed.
On top of that, these latest Italian claims ignore the Portuguese media recently saying Neves has no plans to leave English football.
