At the end of last month, we carried a report from Mundo Deportivo, who explained Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette is the ‘main target’ for Inter Milan.

For a long time, the Nerazzurri have seen their star forward, Lautaro Martínez, being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.

According to FcInterNews, Antonio Conte’s side will look to bring in two attackers this summer.

One would be the Argentine’s successor, if he decides to leave the San Siro, and the other would be the third-choice striker in the squad.

There has been rumours about the Serie A club’s interest in the Gunners forward. It’s claimed the former Lyon man could leave the north London club and his exit would ‘not be a problem’ for Mikel Arteta.

The website adds the Arsenal player’s agent has ‘proposed’ him to Inter, and the Frenchman’s representative tried to understand the Italian club’s interest and also the possibility of doing business this summer.

Unfortunately for the 29-year-old, there has been ‘no signal’ from Milan and the response from Inter was ‘lukewarm’, but not cold. Lacazette’s chances of joining Inter look slim because he’s not included in their list of transfer objectives.

The report also adds Conte’s side are monitoring AS Roma’s Edin Džeko, but there has been no contact for the Bosnian’s signing.
