Italian website Calcio Mercato today brings an update on the negotiations between Arsenal and AS Roma for one of the most interesting potential swaps of the transfer window.
Following Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s loan spell in Serie A, the Giallorossi hope they can sign him on a permanent move this summer. Meanwhile, the Gunners have Justin Kluivert as a serious target, and could take an advantage of this situation.
Calcio Mercato writes today that agent Mino Raiola, who represents both players, has been speaking to Arsenal in the ‘past few hours’, as he pushes the Gunners to accept Roma’s demands.
The Italian side believe Kluivert should be worth more than Mkhitaryan, and that’s why a simple swap isn’t a possibility for them.
The website claims that the difference between the demands of each club isn’t so large, as Roma only want a couple of million more than Arsenal are offering.
Mino Raiola is said to be ‘pressing’ both clubs for a deal, and the story really makes it sound like the negotiations are moving forward to a happy ending.
