There is an agreement between Leicester City and Belgian side Genk for the transfer of Wilfred Ndidi, according to claims we’ve already covered from the Belgian media.
The Nigerian midfielder is highly rated in Belgium, and reports claim Leicester are set to snap him up for €17.7m.
Claudio Ranieri’s team have failed to replace N’Golo Kante, with Nampalys Mendy failing to make an impact, and it seems the manager is keen on making midfield reinforcements in January.
However, Ndidi’s representative, Ronnie Rosenthal, has been speaking to Belgian magazine Fan (via Voetbal Nieuws), and has revealed he’s spoken to more than one club: “At the moment I am in contact with clubs that are specifically interested in him. Genk has put a price tag of €20m for him. He has the qualities to justify that price.”
Reports in the Belgian media suggest Ndidi to Leicester is already done, so it’d be really surprising if there is a turnaround.
The 19-year-old has made 29 appearances this season scoring 3 goals, and has already made his debut for the Nigerian national team.
