Nemanja Matić has been restricted to only 22 minutes of football with Manchester United this season and it came when he replaced Juan Mata in the second half against Southampton.
The midfielder featured twice for Serbia during the international break and has already expressed his unhappiness over limited playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
His current deal at Old Trafford expires after this season, but the Red Devils have an option to extend it by a further year.
Calciomercato are of the belief the Premier League side are unlikely to exercise the option, which would then allow him to leave United as a free agent next summer.
Due to his limited role this season, his agent has offered Matić to AC Milan and Inter Milan. The former are reportedly looking to bring in an experienced midfielder.
Antonio Conte is in charge of the Nerazzurri and has managed the player previously, when the two were at Chelsea.
The report adds Matić’s demands of high wages could be a ‘possible obstacle’ for Inter and Milan to sign him.
