With Tuttosport presenting their Golden Boy award today, agent Mino Raiola was one of the celebrities who took part in the event.
The representative had a brief chat with the local press regarding his clients, and Manchester United star Paul Pogba was obviously one of the topics.
Following Raiola’s comments from the last week, when he claimed the player is unhappy at Old Trafford and that he expects him to leave, the agent now says he was misunderstood regarding a January move, as a transfer would only happen at the end of the season.
“He’ll certainly have a good future, I don’t read the future but the present. In England they are very sensitive when it comes to Pogba unfortunately”, said Mino Raiola (via Tutto Mercato Web).
“I have expressed my opinion, I think what I have said is clear. I was talking about the summer, the big players hardly move in January. Let’s see what happens in the summer.”
Raiola’s comments last week were made just before the Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
There was some expectation about Pogba getting in the starting team for that match, but he stayed on the bench and was only brought on when Manchester Unite were trailing.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then changed his mind and included the Frenchman in the starting team which drew 0-0 with Manchester City on Saturday.
