Over the past week or so, there has been an increased amount of rumours surrounding the potential transfer of Alessandro Bastoni.
The Inter star is reportedly a target for both Manchester United and Tottenham, who are trying to bolster their defence ahead of next season.
Spurs have the advantage of having Antonio Conte at the helm, who has already worked with Bastoni at the Serie A club, as well as Champions League football, but that doesn’t mean the Red Devils are out of the race.
There have been reports of the two clubs potentially making a move for the defender, and it appears his future is about to be at the centre of some talks between his agent, Tullio Tinti, and Inter after the representative was seen arriving at the Serie A side’s headquarters.
TuttoMercatoWeb, recalling that Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in the player, explain ‘there are two subjects on the plate’ for this meeting.
The first is the renewal of Simone Inzaghi, with the second, ‘above all’, being the future of Bastoni.
It’s said Inter value the Manchester United and Tottenham target at €70m, which is a figure both clubs should be able to reach if they really want the player.
One to keep an eye on.
