Simone Zaza’s future is a big talking point in the Italian media. The Italian forward has failed to score in 9 appearances for West Ham, and reports claim he could be set for a move back to Italy.
West Ham must pay Juventus €20m should Zaza make a certain number of appearances, with that number being 14, as revealed by his father yesterday.
Agent Giuseppe Riso has been speaking Rai Sport(via Tutto Mercato Web), and has advised the player to return to Italy.
Riso claims there are many clubs in Italy who could use a player like Zaza, and that is the ‘best solution’ for his future.
He said: “In the first place I would point out that the person who takes care of his matters is Simone’s father. In any case, my advice to the boy is to return to Italy.
“I think it’s the best solution for the future, as he could solve the problems of so many teams.”
Riso, however, insists it’s only a matter of time before Zaza starts firing in England, but Premier League clubs are not patient.
He added: “I think it’s only a matter of time, he would do well in the league. But we all know here, in the Premier there is no patience, then the West Ham is not doing very well.
“Zaza needs to play on a team where he can be the focus of the project. In Napoli he could play in the middle, just like at Sassuolo. We recall that Juventus is still the owner. Valencia? It could also be a good solution, considering the presence of Prandelli, but it would be better to go back to Italy.”
Zaza has another five games to impress, and it remains to be seen if West Ham would be willing to take a risk on him or send him back to Italy. Right now, an exit is looking more and more likely.
