Journalist Anderson Marques, from Premium Sport, claims that the player’s agents are currently in London to hold talks with the Blues.
He claims that AC Milan were also interested in signing the 25-year-old, and have even made an approach, but the meeting with Chelsea is taken as a big sign.
Bernard has let his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expire this summer, so he’s now free to join any club he wants.
But the player has given Chelsea his preference, not only because he likes the club, but also because he would love to live in London.
Now if Milan are stepping back, it should mean that the negotiations with Chelsea are in a pretty advanced stage.
